Low Maintenance Friends
I truly appreciate my low maintenance friends. Because us moms, we need our people ! It’s so important to have that trusted soul we can count on to be close by when we need to vent, celebrate or even a just shoulder to cry on.
But in this season of life it’s hard to have the time.
I know it sounds so harsh, But hear me out.

Life Is Busy. Friends Are Important.
Homeschooling children is A LOT. Public school’s daily pick up’s and drop off’s has to be a rush! Being a single parent has it’s challenges and marriage can be hard! Being a stay at home mom isn’t always the picnic it seems to be and going to work everyday can catch up with you. No matter what our lives look like as a mom, It’s busy!
I love my friends. But I love being in my home, where my never-ending pile of laundry is. Where my hungry children ask me “what’s for dinner?” It’s where I am needed, and honestly it’s where I am most comfortable.

Which Is Why I Am So Thankful For My Low-Maintenance Friends!
You know, those friends who you can go months without talking to and when you finally meet up again it’s as if no time had passed at all! The friends you hold so close and dear to your heart that no time or distance between phone calls, texts or visits could change your relationship.
You Just Know!
You know they love and miss you and cheer you on from their own busy adventure that we call life.
One of the best friends I have I hadn’t seen in almost two years before we recently sat down together at my seven year old’s birthday party. Two years! We actually live in the same city, and although it’s probably true that we could make a little more effort to get together once in a while.
Not a thing had changed between us.
sure, our lives changed.
Kids grew older.
So did we.
Houses, cars, pets, schools, and careers changed.
But we stayed the same.
How she is there to hear me out and support ALL of my choices. How I’m there to remind her how strong she is every step of her way. How we’re both there to lift each other up in prayer.
I’m not sure when we will meet up again, hopefully we can plan something soon and not wait too long this time.
One Day Low Maintenance Friends Won’t Need To Be A Thing.
Because, one day our kids will be grown, our houses will be clean and we will have the time. Maybe we will meet up more then but for now, I know she is just a text away. And I hope she never forgets that I am here for her too. that I am here cheering her on and praying for her from my own crazy adventure that we call life.
