When do we finally stop learning?

What age are we finally done learning?

Sitting on a classroom carpet twenty -ish years ago is where I heard the words “You will never stop learning.” – Never? -Honestly I was disappointed. I wanted an end in sight when it came to school.

But it wasn’t school we were talking about . You see school is different than learning. School is the requirement to learn. School is A’s and B’s. Learning is the art of growing yourself. So when do we finally stop learning new things?

Or do we?

Fast forward the twenty-ish years ago to now. My husband And I have Four beautiful daughters. Our first born were our identical twin girls. I was nineteen he was twenty-three. Let me tell you that took a serious learning curve ! After two more baby girls, I was home for good. #SAHM .

Being a stay-at-home-mom is a blessing! It can also be HARD! Whether it’s cleaning house, feeding and changing your babies or keeping up with your social life to feel alive Its hard and it takes a learning curve. I had to learn to occupy myself, manage my time better, organize my home and life efficiently to name a few examples.

Our twins are ten today, and their sisters seem to be in a race to catch up! We are a #homeschooling family now which is a learning curve I have experience in while at the same time- I see no end in sight. I’ll forever be after new creative ways to spend our homeschooling days.

I have realized children don’t need school to learn, they need #passion, #freedom and #freshair, space beyond four walls, and someone who loves them to guide them and learn along side them.

Beyond that, since I’ve reached this beautiful stage in life where my daughters and I get to experience and try new things together, I’ve realized

everyone is still learning new things and it has brought me such peace.

I was never taught how to sew, grow a garden or harvest and preserve food. But suddenly I have this beautiful chance , this beautiful life staring back at me.
